Divine Enablement

Date: Friday, 10th November, 2023

Text:  Philippians 4:13

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

It is one thing to start a project; it is another thing to complete it. The Alpha and Omega is the Beginning and the Ending. Whatever he begins, he is able to finish it.

In today’s text Apostle Paul wrote, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13.

A believer can do all things which God has called him to do through Him who strengthens and empowers him to fulfill divine purpose. He is self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; and he is ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses him with inner strength and confident peace.

Are you struggling with your current assignment? First check and be sure that the assignment was initiated by God in the first place. If he is the one that gave the vision, rest assured that He will make provision for it.

Spend more time, tarrying in His presence like Christ did in the Garden of Gethsemane when he prayed and an angel came to supply him with the needed strength to accomplish divine purpose- Luke 22:43

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become tired or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding. He gives strength to the weary, And to him who has no might He increases power.

Even youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, but those who wait for the Lord, (who expect, look for, and hope in Him) will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings (and rise up close to God) like eagles (rising toward the sun); They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired- Isaiah 40:28-31 AMP

God will strengthen you in Jesus name.

Action Nugget: Pray against every demon of discouragement; cast out every spirit of fatigue and ask God to renew your vision and grant you divine enablement.

While Men Slept

Date: Thursday, 9th November, 2023

Text: Matthew 13:24-26

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

A lot of spiritual manipulations take place especially at night between 12midnight and 3am. Night raiders, destiny killers, glory destroyers operate recklessly while men sleep. They are the ones the Bible refers to as the terrorists of the night- Psalm 91:5

Some years ago, a pastor narrated his experience while driving home after a prayer vigil at about 2 am. As he navigated a particular roundabout, he saw a coven of witches meeting around that place. By afternoon, say about 12 hours after, a very ghastly motor accident occurred around that same spot where the ugly witches met at night.

The casual person may call it mere coincidence but to those who have spiritual understanding and are sensitive, nothing happens by chance. The spiritual controls the physical.

In today’s text, our Lord Jesus Christ likened the kingdom of heaven to a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. The evil one successfully manipulated the original plan of the farmer who was not vigilant- Matthew 13:24-26.

Many sleep healthy and wake up sick or become programmed to fall sick. Others wake up to experience failure at the edge of success or a miscarriage of allocated blessings.

Ensure you live a life of obedience to God’s word, watch and pray. Spend quality time daily in God’s presence and ensure you regularly ask the Lord to bring the counsel of the heathen to nought, to make the devices of the evil ones of no effect in your life. Pray that the counsel of the Lord stands for ever in your life and that his thoughts be established in your life always.-Psalm 33:10-11.

Prayer Nugget: By the Blood of Jesus Christ, I reclaim back everything the enemy has stolen from me and I possess my possessions in Jesus name.

Who Moved?

Date: Wednesday, 8th November, 2023

Text: 1 Corinthians 10:12

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

If you were with God and suddenly realize that you are far from Him, who moved? You or God? He is ever faithful and he has promised to neither leave nor forsake you. Hebrews 13:5.

We live in a world in which things constantly change where relationships are unstable and  people often depart whether in family, friendship or death. It is very comforting to know that the Almighty has promised neither to leave nor forsake those who abide in Him.

However, many people get easily carried away by the roaring tides of the sea of life. They get drifted from the Lord through worries, anxieties and worldly pursuits of what to eat, where to live and what to wear.

The same person who started well with the Lord now finds himself far from him. Most times it happens gradually and might even be unnoticeable initially. With a little compromise here and there, before long, the dog has returned back to its vomit. Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall” 1 Corinthians 10:12

If you find that there is a distance between you and the Lord, quickly retrace your steps and come back home. He is waiting for you with wide stretched arms of love. Don’t postpone it till tomorrow because it may never come.

Prayer Nugget: Father, I retrace my steps back to you in every area I have strayed away in Jesus name.

Evidence of Genuine Repentance

Date: Tuesday, 7th November, 2023

Text: 1 Timothy 12-14

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God – Romans 3:23. We were all objects of God’s wrath because of our natural fallen nature but thank God for Jesus Christ who came to our rescue. When the Lord began his public ministry on Earth, the first message he preached was, “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17

Repentance occurs when one reviews one’s actions and feels contrite or regret for past wrongs, which is accompanied by commitment to and actual actions that show and prove a change for the better.

A very classic example of a truly repentant person was Paul, the Apostle. He was an injurious terrorist who delighted in persecuting the church of God. But when he met with Jesus Christ on his way to Damascus, he realized his error and made a u-turn,

He said, “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.” 1Timothy 12-14

The former persecutor became the hardest working apostle with exponential anointing.

Don’t be deceived, you cannot live in sin and say the grace of God should abound. If you are genuinely repentant, there should be evidence of a new life and evidence that you have said, “Bye Bye” to worldliness and your former ways of life.

God is still waiting for you, O sinner. Repent today, because tomorrow may be too late.

Action Nugget: Repent; for the kingdom of Heaven is near.

Confront Your Fear

Date: Monday, 6th November, 2023

Text:  1 Samuel 17:1-54

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation

Fear and faith are opposite each other. Faith is of God while fear is of the devil. Fear happens when you exalt your problem above God; while faith is activated when you see God bigger than your problem.

For forty days, Goliath threatened Israel and the troops could not lift a finger against him because they considered his size and in their hearts exalted him above their God. “When Saul (the king) and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid”- 1 Samuel 17:11. In verse 24 of the same chapter, the bible says, “And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid.”

But when David came along, his own view was different. He lifted God above this massive enemy. To him, Goliath was not a threat, but a stepping stone to an undeniable testimony. The bigger your challenge the bigger the testimony and the tougher the battle, the sweeter the victory.

David had an unwavering trust and confidence in God’s ability to overcome the giant. He was so full of faith that not even his eldest brother or the king could discourage him.

He remembered the victory God gave him over his previous enemies. David said, “The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine-”- 1 Samuel 17:37

Has God fought your battles for you before? He has the power to do it again. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forevermore- Hebrew 13:8. His power remains intact. When we remember the faithfulness of God in the past, we are encouraged to believe him for the new or future challenges.

At the end of the day, David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him.

Are you on the Lord’s side? Fear not! Whether the enemy likes it or not victory shall be yours in Jesus name.

Action Nugget: Get up today in the name of Jesus and confront your fear.

His 5-P Blessings

Date: Sunday, 5th November, 2023

Text: Psalm 91:15-16

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

The word of God is loaded with assured promises for those who habitually dwell under his shelter. Today’s text says, “He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.” Psalm 91 vs 15-16

We will examine , at least, 5-blessings packaged in the above scriptures.

First is the assurance of his presence always, especially in the time of trouble. When you pass through difficult situations or other stormy situations that threaten to drown you; God has promised to be with you, ensuring that no harm befalls you.

Second is the blessing of his protection from the fiery arrows of the evil one. Arrows fly by day and night but those who make God their Rock and shield have nothing to fear,

Third is the assurance of his promotion. Lifting comes from above not from any man. God’s honor and grace are available to distinguish his own from the rest.

Fourth is the blessing of God’s prosperity. He gives power to make wealth and delights in the prosperity of his servant. Optimal health in abundance is his will for those who put their trust in him.

The fifth blessing is that of preservation. Longevity is God’s will for his own. He has promised to satisfy his people with a long fulfilling life and show them his eternal salvation.

Why not be a partaker of these 5-fold blessings? Surrender your life to Jesus today and begin to enjoy his bumper package of blessings.

Prayer Nugget: Father, I choose to dwell in you, please, make me a candidate of your 5-fold blessings in Jesus name.

Nisi Dominus Frustra

Date: Saturday, 4th November, 2023

Text: Psalm 127:1-2

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Nisi Dominus Frustra is the Latin motto of the city of Edinburgh, Scotland, which means “Without the Lord, all is in vain” or “Without the Lord, frustration is inevitable.” It is the summary of the words of today’s text, which says,Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.” Psalm 127:1-2

One of the secrets of David’s success in all battles was his addiction to seeking God’s counsel. He never went to war without getting God’s approval. No wonder he always came out victorious.

The word of God says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.” Proverbs 3:5-7

Many are frustrated today because they relied on their own wisdom, skills, expertise, connection, education or wealth. They fail to depend on God’s supernatural wisdom. They remove the God-factor out of their lives and end up meeting with road blocks.

Jonah the disobedient prophet ran into a storm because, though, God sent him to Nineveh he headed to Tarshish. He felt he was smarter than God but he eventually found himself in the belly of a whale- Jonah 1:1-17.

Many have been swallowed by the whales of life today. They currently found themselves in negative situations they never bargained for. There is no other reason for this than the fact that they never got divine approval in the first place. Until they return back to their first love, they may end up struggling forever.

God is not committed to sponsoring a project he never approved.

Prophetic Nugget: Receive grace to always trust in the Lord in Jesus name.

Life By the Spirit

Date: Friday, 3rd November, 2023

Text: Galatians 5:16-26

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

To live by the flesh is to live naturally, exhibiting the full blown human nature, namely,  sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality (total irresponsibility, lack of self-control), idolatry, sorcery, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions [that promote heresies], envy, drunkenness, riotous behaviour- Galatians 5:19-20.

Jesus Christ said the words I speak are Spirit and they are life- John 6:63. This indicates that the word of God and the spirit agree. Therefore, to live by the spirit is to live by the word of God daily.

Life by the spirit is made possible when we allow the word of God to take root in our lives. Then we would no longer be conformed to the ungodly customs, practices and traditions of this world. When we allow the word of God to transform and renew our minds, we become progressively changed into Christ’s image until we attain spiritual maturity. .

Those who live by the Spirit will be known by their fruit. By fruit we mean the character they exhibit, namely, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. Those who live like this belong to Christ and have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. Galatians 5:22-26.

Itis the will of the Father that we live and walk by the spirit.

Prayer Nugget: I receive grace to live and walk by the Spirit in Jesus name.

Mortify the Flesh

Date: Thursday, 2nd November, 2023

Text: Romans 8:1-13

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Every human being has a choice to either live to please himself or to please his Maker, depending on each individual’s destination- eternal life or everlasting damnation. For the believer, who is heavenly minded, the only available choice is to set his affection on things above, not on things on the earth. In other words he habitually keeps his mind on heavenly things, not on things that are on the earth which have only temporal value.

There is a constant struggle between flesh and the spirit -Romans 7:14-24. The flesh is that sensual part of you; your self-centred instinct that wants to live outside God’s will. It is that part of you that wants to continue to be immoral, impure; passionate for sin, evil desire and greed. Basically, the flesh is your sinful nature.

The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s word, nor can it do so. Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what it desires and they cannot please God.

But those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. It is the believer’s responsibility to deliberately mortify or put to death the longings of the flesh so that you do not obey its lusts and passions. This, however, can only be done by the help of the Holy Spirit- Romans 8:1-13

By the Spirit of God, daily engage in self-denial and self discipline and you will successfully subdue the flesh.

Action Nugget: Prayerfully engage the power of the Spirit of God daily to have victory over the flesh.

Mercy Says, ‘No’.

Date: Wednesday, 1st November, 2023

Text: Psalm 102:13

Author: Pastor Adedeji Fadehan

Exhortation:

Welcome to the glorious month of November, the penultimate month of the year. November starts with the letters, “No”. The mercy of God is saying no more delay, no more barrenness, no more defeat, no more failure, no more regrets, no more sickness, no more sorrow (fill in the gaps) in Jesus name.

In Exodus 33:18, Moses made a very special request to God saying, “I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.” And in response, the Lord replies, him, saying, “I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.” Exodus 33:19.

God being sovereign does as he pleases and nobody can challenge or question him. The right to decide who receives His benefits is a decision left to Him alone. He can bypass protocols to favour a man that does not even deserve His favour.

In this month of November, may you see the glory of God; may He graciously cause His goodness pass in front of you and your household; may He be merciful to you and favour you in Jesus name. Let us pray.
